Splice Sounds Essential Rhythms with Jayda G

Jayda G is a curious producer. Her output on a number of labels, including her debut release on Ninjatune, documents both her obsession with off-kilter house and her lifelong fascination with biology and the natural world. Her use of live instrumentation, emotional vocals, and classic beat machines creates a musical tension that drives her otherwise minimal productions, making her sound both completely new and like something you already knew.

We recorded Jayda’s performance at ADE through a one-of-a-kind Phillips console. She played drums, bass, and piano, and the pack also includes an array of classic instruments and machines, from the DX7 to the JV1080. The resulting bricolage of loops and one-shots will be at home in any production, from beats for dance-floor determinists to aura-defining ambient tracks.
