Rubicon Chromagy - Polyrhythmic Botanica

Multi-genre artist and sound designer galen tipton steps into the Rubicon orbit for an effervescent offering of polyrhythmic botanica. Inspired by synesthesia and “lowercase music”––the practice of magnifying microscopic sounds––tipton weaves a a hyper textural web of tones and zones. Shimmering FM synthesis and creaturely percussion converge across interlocking rhythms to hypnotic, brain-tickling delight. Chopped and scrambled vocal blips flit across the stereo field and ultrasonic mics and hydrophones capture field recordings, expanding the environment to the underwater domain. Brimming with life, Chromagy is carefully crafted to lend a radiant touch to productions across genres.
